Jetour G700

The Jetour G700 is the brand’s flagship body-on-frame plug-in hybrid off-road SUV, combining serious 4x4 hardware with a high-output electrified drivetrain and a premium three-row cabin.

The G700 made its Malaysian debut at KLIMS 2026 as a preview model, but as of September 2026 it has not yet been officially launched locally. Final Malaysian variants and pricing remain unconfirmed, although its arrival is expected in 2027 with an estimated price around RM250,000.

The G700 uses an unusually screen-heavy premium dashboard.

A huge 35.4-INCH panoramic digital display spans the lower edge of the windscreen, providing driving, navigation and vehicle information across much of the dashboard.

This is supplemented by a 15.6-INCH central touchscreen running on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8255-based infotainment architecture.

The wide centre console houses physical vehicle controls, off-road functions, storage and a wireless smartphone charging pad.

The Malaysian preview features a more refined front treatment incorporating the brand’s new JT logo, a dark honeycomb-style grille and horizontal chrome accents.

Its tall bonnet, squared-off bumper and prominent underbody protection reinforce the G700’s rugged body-on-frame positioning.

The overall design is substantially more imposing than the smaller Jetour T1 and T2.

The G700 uses a traditional side-hinged rear tailgate with a large external spare-wheel housing.

Vertical LED lighting elements and the broad body give it a distinctly off-road-oriented appearance.

The 15.6-INCH central touchscreen runs through a Snapdragon 8255-based system.

High-spec six-seat versions additionally receive a large 17.3-INCH roof-mounted rear entertainment screen.

Higher-specification G700 models feature a comprehensive Level 2 driver-assistance suite.

Global specifications offer premium audio systems with up to 18 speakers.

High-specification versions use a Lexicon premium sound system, with Dolby Atmos support in selected markets.

The exact Malaysian audio specification remains unconfirmed.

The G700 uses a 1,997 CC turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine operating on the Miller cycle.

The combustion engine produces 155 KW (208 HP) and 340 NM.

A front permanent-magnet synchronous motor adds 210 KW (282 HP) and 360 NM, while the rear motor develops 300 KW (402 HP) and 435 NM.

Total electric-motor output alone reaches 510 KW, while the complete hybrid system produces 665 KW (892 HP / 904 PS) and 1,135 NM.

Power is managed by a two-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission.

The DHT allows the combustion engine and front motor to operate efficiently across a wider range of speeds while the rear electric motor powers the rear axle independently.

The G700 features dual-motor electric all-wheel drive.

The petrol engine works with the front drivetrain, while the rear axle is driven electrically rather than through a conventional mechanical propshaft.

Chinese-market figures are higher at 150 KM CLTC electric range and approximately 1,400 KM CLTC total range.

Official weighted combined fuel consumption is rated at approximately 1.39 L/100 KM WLTC, while depleted-battery consumption is around 8 L/100 KM depending on market specification.

DC fast charging reaches an exceptional 170 KW, allowing the battery to recharge from 30-80% in approximately 10 minutes.

Normal AC charging requires approximately five hours, although the final Malaysian onboard-charger specification has not yet been confirmed.

A 6.6 KW V2L system is also provided.

The G700 uses double-wishbone independent suspension at both the front and rear despite its body-on-frame construction.

Higher-specification versions add adaptive air suspension and electronically controlled damping, allowing both ride height and damper firmness to be adjusted.

Ground clearance can increase from approximately 230 MM to as much as 320 MM on air-suspension-equipped models.

This also improves maximum wading depth and approach, departure and breakover angles during serious off-road use.

The hybrid system allows the G700 to operate electrically during lower-speed driving, reducing combustion-engine noise and vibration.

Extensive sound insulation, premium cabin materials and acoustic glass on higher specifications further improve refinement.

The cabin is intended to deliver luxury-SUV levels of quietness despite the ladder-frame construction and aggressive off-road capability.

The Jetour G700 is a dramatic step beyond the brand’s existing Malaysian range, combining genuine body-on-frame off-road hardware with one of the most powerful PHEV systems in its class.

Its 892 HP and 1,135 NM system output enables a remarkable 4.6-second 0-100 KM/H time, while the 34.13 KWH LFP battery, 800-VOLT architecture and 170 KW DC charging give it unusually advanced charging capability for a plug-in hybrid.

It is equally ambitious inside, with a 35.4-inch panoramic display, 15.6-inch touchscreen, six-seat configuration, available 17.3-inch rear entertainment screen, ventilated and massaging seats and up to 18-speaker premium audio.

Off-road credentials are substantial, including 230 MM ground clearance, 900 MM wading depth, electric AWD, multiple locking functions, low-speed crawl, Tank Turn and dedicated terrain modes. High-specification versions further add air suspension and adaptive damping.

However, the G700 is not yet officially on sale in Malaysia. The KLIMS 2026 vehicle was a preview, with final local specification, variant count and pricing still pending. An estimated figure of around RM250,000 has been suggested ahead of its expected Malaysian launch in 2027.

If Jetour can retain most of the international equipment and keep pricing near that estimate, the G700 could offer an unusually strong combination of luxury, 892 HP performance, serious off-road ability and PHEV practicality.
