Only 10 Units In M'sia! smart #5 Brabus Drops Rare 'Laser Red' Look Amid RM10K Price Hike

If you’ve been keeping an eye on Malaysia’s premium electric SUV market, PRO-NET just dropped a major double-header update.
smart Malaysia has officially unveiled the smart #5 BRABUS Laser Red Edition, a hyper-exclusive, limited-run variant designed for drivers who want ultimate road presence. But here’s the catch: only 10 units of this striking colorway are allocated for the entire Malaysian market!
At the same time, official 2026 pricing for the smart #5 lineup has been updated, seeing a RM10,000 price adjustment across both the Premium and BRABUS variants.
- Hyper-Exclusive Allocation: Only 10 units of the smart #5 BRABUS Laser Red Edition are available for the entire Malaysian market.
- Supercar Performance: Dual-motor AWD setup producing 646 PS (475 kW) and 710 Nm torque, blasting from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds.
- 15-Minute Rapid Charge: Equipped with a 100 kWh battery (540 km WLTP range) supporting 400 kW DC fast charging from 10% to 80% in 15 minutes.
- 2026 Price Revision: Revised on-the-road prices (without insurance) are RM209,800 for the Premium variant and RM259,800 for the BRABUS (a RM10,000 increase for both).
1. A striking 'Laser Red' finish with full BRABUS attitude

The headline update is the stunning Laser Red exterior shade, specifically chosen to complement BRABUS’s signature high-performance aesthetics.
While the new paint coat adds incredible visual depth, the vehicle retains all the iconic BRABUS exterior highlights that enthusiasts love:
- Signature Red Accents: Highlighted across the front spoiler, side mouldings, rear bumper, and door mirror caps.
- Monoblock Z Alloys: Fitted with a set of 21-inch BRABUS Monoblock Z 10-spoke black alloy wheels featuring a polished rim.
- Bespoke Interior Cabin: Inside, you’ll find Dinamica microfibre-upholstered seats, an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel, carbon fibre interior trim, alloy pedals, red seat belts, and embroidered BRABUS logos on the headrests.
- Next-Gen Tech: The cabin is driven by an advanced digital ecosystem powered by the ultra-fast AMD V2000 chipset.
2. Unchanged 646 PS muscle & 15-minute fast charging

Mechanically, the Laser Red Edition retains the monster powertrain of the standard smart #5 BRABUS.
- 0–100 km/h Sprint: 3.8 seconds
- Peak Power: 646 PS (637 hp / 475 kW)
- Torque Output: 710 Nm
- Top Speed: 210 km/h
Underneath the floor sits a 100 kWh nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) battery, delivering a WLTP-rated range of up to 540 km on a single charge.

Supporting 400 kW DC fast charging, the smart #5 BRABUS charges from 10% to 80% in just 15 minutes—roughly the time it takes to grab a cup of coffee at a highway R&R!
3. Official 2026 price update in Malaysia
Along with the Laser Red unveiling, PRO-NET announced updated 2026 pricing for the smart #5 range in Malaysia. Both variants see a RM10,000 revision compared to their initial launch prices:
"With the introduction of the new Laser Red Edition, we are offering customers an even more expressive and distinctive way to experience the pinnacle of the smart brand. Its limited availability makes it a truly special addition to the smart #5 family," said Mr. Zhang Qiang, Chief Executive Officer of PRO-NET.
