Isuzu Malaysia Continues As Diamond Sponsor For Borneo Safari

Borneo-Safari-handover.jpeg During the Borneo Safari this year, three D-Max X-Terrain vehicles will be paired with two 1.9-liter Isuzu D-Max Single Cabs to serve as the official media vehicles.
Isuzu Malaysia CEO Shunsuke Okazoe claims that the Single Cab's enormous workhorse potential was the reason it was selected to have a supporting role at the event. Isuzu is the only manufacturer in Malaysia to offer two engine options in the Single Cab, which comes standard with a four-wheel drive system with a differential lock.

“To conquer events such as the Borneo Safari where unforgiving jungle tracks not only require a vehicle to feature a well-designed 4x4 system, they also need to be engineered to the highest level of dependability in order to successfully emerge from the eight-day event unscathed.

“With the Isuzu D-Max’s strong heritage in the truck business, it is undoubtedly one of the most dependable media vehicles the event has seen, having successfully carried the media and their equipment through all sorts of conditions every year for over a decade,” said Okazoe.

As the returning Diamond Sponsor of the event, Okazoe presented the sponsorship documents and keys to the official media vehicles for the event to the president of the Sabah Four-Wheel Drive Association Faez Nordin. Borneo-Safari-Monsters-2.jpeg

The Borneo Safari, which is regarded as one of the world's most challenging off-road challenges, is celebrating its 31st year this year.
The event starts in front of the Sabah Tourism Board office on Sunday, October 29, 2023. It travels through the mountainous areas of Sook and Ranau before ending a week later in Kota Kinabalu.
Isuzu Malaysia will collaborate once again with Tourism Malaysia, the Sabah Tourism Board, and Red Springs Sdn Bhd to create a web video series promoting the event in particular and Sabah as an adventure destination in general. Borneo-Safari-Monsters-3.jpeg

Viewers will be able to witness the various challenges of the Borneo Safari through this video series and have the opportunity to win exclusive event merchandise by participating in the watch-and-win contest that will be held following the event.
